Leadership Team


Carl Krupitzer is the Chief Executive Officer of ThingLogix and is responsible for the overall strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of the company. With over two decades of experience spanning cloud platforms and applications, technology consulting and services, finance, and graphic design, Carl brings deep technology experience and seasoned business perspectives to the role.

As one of the three founders of ThingLogix, Carl saw an opportunity to combine a powerful technology platform for IoT solution development and management with end-to-end IoT solution development services. He and the other founders led the effort to carve out an independent path for ThingLogix, which separated from its parent company 2lemetry in 2014. Carl served as VP of Services and Solutions at 2lemetry, where he refined the company’s approach to deploying IoT solutions for enterprise customers. In 2015, Amazon Web Services acquired 2lemetry, which became the basis for the suite of cloud services now known as AWS IoT.

Prior to his roles at ThingLogix and 2lemetry, Carl held executive roles at cloud professional services provider Appirio, health care solution provider Dart Chart Systems, and relocation services provider Sirva. Earlier in his career, he served as a Vice President of Information Technology at Bank One and as a technology consultant for Covansys and Ernst & Young.

Eric Dirst is the Chief Operating Officer of ThingLogix and is responsible for day-to-day operations across Sales and Marketing, Customer Success and our Partner Program. With over three decades of technology and operational executive leadership experience spanning technology consulting, management consulting, startup leadership, CIO for Fortune 500/1000 companies, and COO/President for a Fortune 1000 company.

Prior to his role at ThingLogix, Eric was the President Global Shared Operations for Adtalem Global Education (NYSE: ATGE) where he ran operational centers of excellence in the USA (Illinois and New Jersey) and Brazil (Fortaleza and Campinas) providing inside sales, customer services, customer financing, anc customer contact center services for 20+ brands globally. Eric also ran product development, R&D, supply management, physical security, and was the executive sponsor for the Quality Committee of the Board of Directors. Earlier in his career Eric was CIO at multiple companies including DeVry Education Group, SIRVA, and a startup IQ4Hire. Eric also spent many years in management consulting at companies such as BSG, KPMG, and Covansys.

Rob Rastovich is the Chief Technology Officer of ThingLogix and is responsible for product strategy, product development, and technical support of the company’s solutions. He oversees the company’s solution engineering teams and provides technical oversight for solution development services engagements. With over three decades of experience spanning connected applications and infrastructure, distributed computing architectures, and enterprise applications, Rob brings a wealth of technical insight and thought leadership to ThingLogix and its customers.

As one of the three founders of ThingLogix, Rob saw an opportunity to combine a powerful technology platform for IoT solution development and management with end-to-end IoT solution development services. He and the other founders led the effort to carve out an independent path for ThingLogix, which separated from its parent company 2lemetry in 2014. Rob served as a senior consultant and solutions architect at 2lemetry, where he developed innovative IoT solutions for customers, helping them incorporate differentiated features and functionality and integrate with Salesforce.com and other leading enterprise solutions. In 2015, Amazon Web Services acquired 2lemetry, which became the basis for the suite of cloud services now known as AWS IoT.

Prior to his roles at ThingLogix and 2lemetry, Rob served as a principal technical consultant at cloud professional services provider Appirio. In addition to his role at ThingLogix, Rob manages Zest Tech, a company he founded that offers a hotel booking engine for online travel agencies. Rob holds a MSCIS in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and a BS in Communications Management from the University of Portland.

Nilesh Patel is the Vice President of Delivery and Operations for ThingLogix. He is responsible for solution development, solution delivery, and customer success. His scope includes the full lifecycle of smart, connected solutions based on ThingLogix technologies, including: business and go-to-market strategy, design & build, test & learn, deploy & integrate, as well as supporting customers’ ongoing operation, maintenance, and evolution of solutions.

His experience spans multiple industries, business situations, and technology environments, in which he has developed, implemented, and supported Internet of Things solutions for both large enterprises and mid-sized companies. His functional expertise includes program management, service strategy and delivery, IT operations, and IT governance.

Prior to ThingLogix, Nilesh led the IT business management function at MSCI, a leading provider of research-driven insights and tools for institutional investors. He previously held IT leadership roles at BlackRock, Barclays Global Investors, and DHL. He holds an MBA from Arizona State University.

Dirk Husselman is the General Manager of Europe for ThingLogix. He is responsible for business development, solution development, solution delivery, and customer success for ThingLogix customers throughout the region. With over two decades of technology industry experience spanning connected applications and infrastructure, technology consulting, solution architecture, and project management roles, he brings extensive technical insight, business acumen, and strategic vision to ThingLogix and its customers.

As one of the three founders of ThingLogix, Dirk saw an opportunity to combine a powerful technology platform for IoT solution development and management with end-to-end IoT solution development services. He and the other founders led the effort to carve out an independent path for ThingLogix, which separated from its parent company 2lemetry in 2014. Dirk was a co-founder of 2lemetry in 2011, and served as Chief Operating Officer, helping establish the brand and grow the business around its ThingFabricTM IoT platform, which allowed companies to rapidly consume and act on device data independent of scale and complexity. In 2015, Amazon Web Services acquired 2lemetry, which became the basis for the suite of cloud services now known as AWS IoT.

Prior to his roles at ThingLogix and 2lemetry, Dirk co-founded technology consultancy DHS Data Protection, where he served as General Manager and served clients on issues including enterprise solutions, service delivery, governance, security, and technology standards compliance. Earlier in his career, he held senior technical roles at BlackRock, as well as various technology consulting, solutions architecture, and project manager roles at PG&E, IBM, and Gap.

Faisal Aljundi is the General Manager of Middle East and Africa for ThingLogix. He is responsible for business development, solution development, solution delivery, and customer success for ThingLogix customers throughout the region.

Faisal joined ThingLogix from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE, formerly Hewlett Packard Company), where he was the regional sales manager for the Africa region. In this role, he led multinational teams throughout the African, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean markets. His technology focus included cloud, Internet of Things, data analytics, security, and sustainable IT initiatives. His scope included collaborating with business and technical teams at both executive and functional management levels to create sales opportunities, convert pipeline to bookings, and deliver enterprise technology solutions to customers.

Prior to HPE, he held technical roles at du – a telecommunications service provider serving the UAE, Dubai Internet City – a major regional technology park and special economic zone located in the UAE, Etisalat – a multinational telecommunications service provider based in the UAE, and Iridium – a global satellite communications service provider. Faisal holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Ajman University of Science and Technology.
