It is possible to build and deliver Foundry applications as multi-tenant. Modern Enterprise applications and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications must reach out to multiple customers and multi-tenancy enables companies to serve many customers with a single application while isolating customer data from other tenants.
Foundry’s multi-tenant architecture
Out of the box, Foundry is a multitenant application framework. Data isolation and account segregation are managed with the application using sub accounts. Additional controls are provided through roles, ACLs and user policies.
Foundry multi-tenant architecture options
Often when designing a high-volume IoT application, logical data segmentation is not enough. Noisy neighbors, data privacy concerns and customizations often make traditional multi-tenant less than idea. Foundry offers the ability to install individual tenants in their own AWS account while still maintaining the controls and functionality of the main instance. Effectively each single tenant rolls up to the main instance giving you the best of both worlds.
